Play-Doh

We have been playing with Play-Doh lately, and Presley really likes to put it on her nose and daddy’s nose and my nose.  If you want some Play-Doh on your nose, just come by!

 

Presentation

Presley is all about presentation. This is her eating Yo-Gos in an egg cup. I have no idea how to use an egg cup for an egg, but Yo-Gos make a great fit!

Brownies!

I made brownies a couple of weeks ago for the junior class tailgate party, and Presley enjoyed cleaning the bowl ;)

Happy Birthday Paw-Paw Bud!

Presley's great-grandfather turned 80 this week! I wish we could be there to celebrate! There wasn't much time to celebrate because he had to have shoulder surgery, and I guess the hospital isn't the best place to throw a party. Anyway, we are praying for you Pa Bud! Love you bunches!!

The Park

When Presley woke up from her nap Saturday, we went to get ice cream and headed to the park. DA’s park is right by the river so the view and the breeze are always  nice.

Wonderful Weather

Things have been really busy around the Hill household! Football season, stomach viruses, junior class sponsors,  hunting season, school, and wonderful weather has kept us busy for the last few weeks. I guess we can rest when we retire!

It is so hard to stay home when I get off of work. Presley and I just have to go outside.  We walk to the Dairy Bar, the park, football practice, church, band practice (out of our back door), and just about everywhere else! Today we walked around town and ended up at the church playground. We had to come home for lunch and a nap, but I told Presley we could go get some “ice keem” when she wakes up! These are some pictures from our walk this morning!

This is someone’s backyard. Yes, that is a turkey and some geese. They were not very happy to see us.

Mrs. Fulmer’s Contemporary History class made a ‘60s museum last year.

"But they that wait upon the LORD
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as EAGLES
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint" Isaiah 40:31

I think that everyone in DA knows this scripture by heart and prays that our Eagles will run and not grow weary as they make plenty of touchdowns!

Washed by the Water

Have you heard this song? I love it! I could put it on repeat and play it over and over.  It just speaks to my heart. 

It rained today, and Presley and I just played in it. Watching her have so much fun playing in the rain reminded me that life is what we make of it.  I guess we could have just sat inside and wished it wasn’t raining. Sitting and complaining is what we do so often in our lives.  It is not near as fun as laughing in the rain though! Somehow, I was able to refrain from rubbing mud all over myself, but Presley was not!
