Animal Sounds

Here are some animal sounds by Presley. She is smacking her lips together for the fish. So funny!

Body Parts

We went for the rest of Presley's one year vaccinations yesterday, and Dr. Blair asked if Presley can point to her body parts. I was proud to say that she can! Here are a few that she knows...

Little Einsteins Aerobics

Presley loves Little Einsteins. This is a video of her dancing to her latest- Baby's First Moves. She is trying to jump at the end, and then she looks over to make sure her daddy is watching!

The Zoo

We went to the zoo last Saturday. It was so much fun! Presley liked it, but she was so serious. I wonder where she gets that from! She hardly made a peep the whole time we were there. I can't wait to take her to the Memphis Zoo!

Aggression

We received an incident and an ouch report today. Presley hit someone in the nose, and someone bit her on the arm. I bet it wasn't as funny as I imagine. Presley must get it from our dogs. They fight all the time. Presley shakes her finger and says, "no, no, no!" with a Middle Eastern accent. I have no idea where she picked up the finger shaking or the accent.

One Sick Baby

Presley had a bad cough Friday when we picked her up from daycare, so I called the doctor and made an appointment for Monday. Friday night she had fever. I decided Saturday morning that I did not want to wait until Monday to find out what was going on. I knew that if they gave her some medicine, she could be fine by Monday. I took her to the clinic at Children's Hospital. They said she had the "daycare crud". It is amazing how daycares have their own special diseases isn't it? They told me she was sick and sent us home. Well by Sunday night, her temperature was around 103, and I knew there was more to blame than daycare. Of course, parent-teacher conferences were Monday so neither Nick nor I could take off. Presley's Big Daddy and Nana Raine came through (they always do)! Doctor Blair said that, of course, it was an ear infection. She said that she hates to say that the previous doctor made a mis-diagnosis, but an ear infection this bad had not happened recently. (Can you hear me screaming?) I usually do not vent on here, but I have to say that being a working mother is hard enough without doctors making judgments based on the fact that my child goes to daycare! I felt like the doctor had made up his mind before he ever looked in her ears. I wonder if he would have caught the ear infection would he have called it "daycare ear" =)

Now that I have that off of my chest, I will give you what you want- My feverish baby in "loose clothing" begging us to put on her hoodie so she can "GO"!

Heirloom

This is a cross stitch that my mom made for me before I was born. It is now in Presley's room. It is hard to believe that when my mom was pregnant they couldn't tell her if I was a boy or a girl, and I saw Presley's face before she was born!
