7 Months!

Emma is 7 months old! I had to take her to the doctor Friday because she started running fever Thursday night. She has a sinus infection just like her big sister. We took Presley on Monday because she had fever Sunday. Emma weighed 17 lbs 3oz and she didn't even cry when they pricked her heel twice! She is feeling much better today!
Emma eats twice a day. She is eating #2 foods, and she has decided that peas aren't her thing. She loves the fruit and vegetable mixes like squash and apples, and she eats the ones with grains mixed in well. She lets us know when she is tired of eating by closing her eyes and mouth and turning away from the spoon with a fuss. Usually she will eat more if we offer her something different.
She is a terrible sleeper, but her daddy doesn't seem to mind. I wake up with her at least two times a night. The only time she takes long naps is if we are outside. She will nap in her stroller and her swing.
She loves her sister so much. It is fun to watch them interact. Emma gets So excited when Presley comes in the room, and she loves to take baths with her big sis!

Emma Giggles

I think that this video was taken when Emma was about 5 months old. I'm too lazy to hook up my external hard drive to check. Just keeping it real.

Please notice how many times Presley tells me the same thing in 30 seconds.  Wears. Me. Out. Presley has started to not even give me time to process what she has just asked me before she repeats what just came out of her mouth.  I don't know why, but this so exhausting to me!

Today I went to get Presley and her teacher, Miss Beth, told me that Presley was just telling two boys that were fighting that everyone makes mistakes and Jesus and God were the only ones that are perfect. My little peacemaker.

6 Month Checkup

I took Emma to her 6 month wellness visit today. I love getting to spend the day with her! She is 16 lbs 4oz, and 26.75 inches long. That puts her in the 75th percentile for height and 50th for weight. We are going to try to feed her more solids to see if we can get her percentiles closer, but the doctor isn't concerned about it. Emma still wakes up at least once a night. She has her favorite people, and she will let you know quickly if you aren't one of them. I can't even explain how precious she is. She is just very particular about people and formula apparently.
