Spring Break and 6 Months

The weekend before spring break we took a trip to Little Rock and picked up a big swing set for our girls.  That week we had the kids that were in shop classes come over and put it together! Best idea ever! They did a fantastic job, and Presley and Emma couldn't wait to play!

On Friday, Emma's babysitter was recovering from a minor surgery.  Each of the moms took turns taking off so that we all didn't have to take off everyday. Presley stayed home so that she could play with Cane. They had fun playing outside for most of the day. I took this picture at naptime of the only children awake (mine) (of course).

Saturday was a beautiul day! It was warm and sunny and I got to dress the girls in matching Carter's play clothes. Nana Raine came to play with us and we had a great day!

On Monday I went and got the big kids from Miss Judy's to try to give her a little break. We watched Wreck-it-Ralph, ate popcorn and candy, and decorated Easter cookies.
I got a jogging stroller that I've been wanting so Emma and I have been walking while Presley rides her bike. One afternoon we went to the park and the next we went to the library.
We ran to Cabot on Wednesday and ate breakfast at Waffle House. We ran some errands and stopped at a park for a little while.

Emma turned 6 months old on Wednesday! She is such a sweet baby! She had to go to the doctor a couple of weeks ago (pink eye) and she weighed 16 pounds and 3 ounces. She rolled from her back to front when she turned 5 months old, and she has been eating solids since 4 months. She eats so well, and she isn't picky! She loves green beans as well as sweet potatoes, but she doesn't seem to care for bananas.  She is particular, however, about her formula.  She won't take powdered formula, so we buy the premixed. The other day I decided to get the gentle formula for gas (same brand just different formula) and she would NOT take it! She prefers breastmilk, but at least she will take something else! She loves to be held, and she has to see you at all times. She has found her voice recently and likes to shriek and yell as soon as she wants anything. Emma still wakes up at least once a night. She gets a stuffy nose in the middle of the night, and it wakes her up. Hopefully she will get rid of the congestion soon. Emma loves her mommy and daddy, but she absolutely lights up when she sees Presley!
